I am writing in support of the SEC proposed rule S7-10-22, The Enhancement and Standardization of Climate-Related Disclosures for Investors.

Climate change poses great danger to the US financial system and threatens economic stability, both national and personal.

My husband and I have our retirement funds invested in stocks, bonds, and mutual funds. We want to mitigate the risk posed by our investments to both our financial well-being and to the health of our world. Without standardized disclosures of planet-warming emissions, it is very difficult for us to determine what risk from climate change is posed when we choose our investments. This rule would provide consistent information that would allow us to compare companies before we invest.

This is a long overdue first step in forcing the private sector to confront the economic risks of a warming world.

I encourage the SEC to quickly publish the rule as final and put it into effect without delay.
