No

I downloaded an app or visited a website first, and then opened up an account with the company

I use Robinhood and Coinbase and like that they have access to articles about the investment I hold.

I would have never started investing if I had to call a broker and pay endless fees. Robinhood allowed me to get my feet wet with a low account balance and learn timeless investing strategies. Now that my account has grown I realize that I dont need to rely on brokers and analyst to babysit my account for me.
