Company Executives, Board Members and the public at large cannot forget that management and the board all work for shareholders. Shareholders should be given the ability to choose what is best for them. If executives and/or board members actions are not aligned with shareholders, then shareholders must be given an uncomplicated and inexpensive medium in which to enact change. Management cannot be expected to self govern justly and in shareholders best interest. Boards and Management become entrenched and only 1 person gets nominated or "elected". These are basic dictatorships. It simply doesn't work. Democracy on the other-hand does work. Shareholders must have a say.
