Oct. 10, 2022
October 10, 2022 It has become clear that the SEC is a completely ineffective tool to combat fraud and illegal activity in the market. I believe this reporting is necessary, but will still amount to nothing since the SEC is toothless and unable to generally create real results and punishments when laws are broken. This has resulted in a pay-to-play market where the bigger you are the more you can get away with. The financial industry is not who we should be asking what rules/laws to whom they should be beholden, why let the fox determine the rules of the hen house? At the end of the day this rule feels like another meaningless bone for the media while no real changes will be made because everyone at the SEC has a vested interest in seeing monster banks succeed. They worked for them before and have a pension there or they will be going there next. Such a scummy disgusting industry. (Oof, and your website can't even take a phone number without hyphens in it... big yikes)
