A lack of publicly available information on holdings does nothing but hurt the ability of a large number of investors to gain access to vital information. Hedge funds and large firms already have the upper hand of controlling millions of shares and having access to information not readily available to the common investor. The large firms won't be affected by this at all but the average American will be greatly impacted negatively.
