I have been fortunate enough to join some successful startups and projects in their early days and benefit from their growth. The compensation was largely equity based.
As a UK citizen, I was able to participate in some of these projects as a small investor because I was not based in America.

Now that I am a resident in America, I want to see these kinds of opportunities opened up to others. I believe that people should be able to allocate some of their capital to high-risk ventures.
Today, Americans are able to spend huge sums on education, healthcare gambling without many restrictions. I believe they should be able to spend some of their money on high-risk investments that give them the opportunity to get ahead.
Risking things is the American way. It is why I left England to be here.
