I am commenting on the additional time proposed for investors to analyze ABS. In order to make a rational decision, investors need to take time to analyze and understand the information about each asset in the pool. Requesting additional time for investors to make these decisions is a good proposal. Investors will be able to consider transaction-specific information about the pool assets. The proposed time of five business days is an adequate time expansion. Requesting this specified amount of time shouldnt pose any problems for market participants. When making a decision on investments, people should take time to understand the prospectus of each asset. By presenting the information in XML format and obeying the information requirements, investors should be able to make a decision within the proposed five business days. If the proposal for time extension does create problems for market participants, then the proposal should address how to resolve those problems.
