I want to support the uptick rule. I am an individual investor. Although I have a small pension, I have to supplement it with my lifelong savings in 403B, and IRA plans which took a 30% loss in the fall of 2008. My fellow individual investors and I must struggle with a cadre of professional traders who presently are able to control the stock market by unlimited and unregulated short selling. Please bring back the uptick rule as a help for individual investors. Individual small
investors need some protection and a level playing field which would be provided by the restoration of the uptick rule.
