I'm retired and last year, I lost over 50% of the value in my IRA. I'm in total agreement of the SEC establishing an Uptick Rule and some sort of Circuit Breaker to keep a particular stock from calapsing. The SEC should be looking out for the investor. Lack of oversight by all governmental agencies and politicians aided in the recent market downturn.
