Please re-instate the shorting uptick rule. And, while your at it give shareholders the right to not let their fully paid for shares be borrowed without their permission.
If the shorts are permitted to borrow MY stock without MY specific permission to then actually go against MY positions they should at least have to wait for an uptick to go short against me.
This whole shorting practice in my opinion is a greedy and highly unethical practice by brokers and others to make HIDDEN MONEY on a client's positions.
Give the actual shareholders the ethically correct right to demand that their shares not be borrowed. If they are properly compensated for loaning their shares then each shareholder can do as they wish.
