The two Republicans on the committee, of course, are against it, with their statement of trying to "shame" CEOs.
Well, they should be "ASHAMED" receiving compensation of more than 354 times of the average worker and this is doubled from the 1990's.
Then, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce opposing it because it would be "costly and time consuming to gather data" DUH What basement or century are they living in? Today's computers are so highly technical that with good operators, it should take them less time to gather data than it is taking me to type this.
I am 76 yrs old and my father was a union rep in the 40's until the 80's and he was a fair and honest man and he said in the earlier days he could deal with management but as the years went on, it became more and more difficult.
Don't know why the conservatives are trying to eliminate the middle class, but they sure are doing a good job of it.
