Hi,
From what I understand, this rule aims to increase transparency, by designating owners of certain derivatives as deemed beneficial owners.
Now while this may increase transparency, it looks like this bill may also confer ownership rights to a lot more people.
This bill looks like it may just destroy corporate democracy and lead to major dilution of investor rights.
Why bother paying full price shares, when one can just buy some derivatives and acquire the same voting rights?
Now, I am no legal expert so I maybe mistaken on the bill and so please feel free to disregard my comments in that case.
