I support the proposition to shorten time frames of filing deadlines for required reports. The regulating bodies should have complete information on all happenings in the market, and any reduction in deadlines for required reports will improve the health of the markets by way of increased transparency.
I also support the movement to require that all disclosures on schedules 13D and 13G be filed using an XML-based language to make it easier for investors and markets to utilize the data offered in these reports. The markets are not an even playing field, and any steps taken to increase transparency and ease-of-access for the average person can only bolster the health of the market.
