As a founding CEO of a technical startup, I'm making the request that you not make life more difficult for startups to raise money, and amend Reg D and Form D. Adding new filing requirements and penalties for late filings, requiring more information, and thereby increasing attorney and consulting fees as a result is counter to the intentions and spirit of the JOBS Act.
It is difficult enough for startups to get their companies off the ground, compete against much larger companies, and create new jobs. Founders invest their own money and take a reduced or deferred salary before they can entice investors to take an interest. Your proposed changes cause harm by making it even more difficult to find and engage with accredited investors interested in partnering with us.
