This rule change put simply is not enough. Going from T +2 to T+1 doesn't really change anything as institutions are making trades in fractions of a second. T + 0 is not only possible with the technology but needs to be done to protect retail investors. Then it's hard to understand how this could take two years to implement. As a retail investor I would like to know the reasons why this sort of timeline has been proposed.
