Almost 2 years to implement a 1 day settlement cycle change which already has the infrastructure in place and could be implemented in less than 6 months? First and foremost this should be SAME DAY SETTLEMENT. Fairness and equality mean nothing to you if it is not same day settlement. You are basically saying that large institutions are allowed to know what retail is doing ahead of time but not the other way around. As a single investor i applaud you actually trying to help close the information gap, but you can do better than this. Stop letting big money take advantage of retail. T+0 is what is needed, and ALL INFORMATION (including shorts etc) must be fully and completely reported same day.
