I'm a truck driver. I work directly in the supply chain everyday. I am able to make out a satisfactory living on my current income.
I am so tired. I work overnight, I work hard. I push myself and my equipment to the edge in order to make my living. What grinds my gears more than anything is watching an entire industry. AN ENTIRE INDUSTRY, which does nothing more than build some complex algorithms to trade stocks back and forth, tear the rest of this country apart for it's insatiable greed. No one needs the levels of money these people play with. And what does the regulatory board do? Fills positions at it's location with ex-employees from this industry, so they can better set the rules that govern this machine.
Me. Regular retail person. Can see that for miles away. I drive a truck. My life is not super complicated. It's also not private jet comfortable. I want the banking and finance systems overhauled to reflect the modern standards of business. This rule S7-05-22 is a start. We live in a world where things can be transferred instantaneously across the globe. We as people laid heavy cables on the bottom of the ocean to facilitate this. But finance wants days to put their algorithm ducks in a row? No. Let's stop giving this machine time to bury it's fraud and hold it accountable.
Please. Continue to release rules that hold the finance industry accountable for their fraud. Stop giving them the ability to steal money from people like me. It no longer takes time to settle transactions, so let's quit letting the industry get away with tricks and games.
