As a retail investor I am tremendously in favor of shortening settlement windows, that in many cases, lead to the opportunity for abuse in our financial system.
Shortening settlement dates wherever possible would greatly increase the reliability of publicly accessible data and assist to increase transparency in our markets.
I absolutely agree with the sentiment of the proposed rule in that it seeks to \"protect investors, reduce risk, and increase operational efficiency\" and call that it be implemented as soon as possible.
