March 27, 2023 I am opposed to the 3rd party reporting portion of this proposal. As an SEC staff person who has already had to deal with systems being hacked and PII released, the last thing I want to happen is for my personal financial account information to be in a system that will pose a significant risk of hacking into my personal financial account information. Our internal processes already include trading restrictions, and I would NOT object to any appropriate INTERNAL updates to that system. However, allowing some 3rd party system to collect information about my private accounts would subject me to significant risk that could make me question whether or not I would want to continue working in an agency that would force their employees to accept such an unnecessary and significant personal risk.
