As an employee directly affected by this proposal, I am concerned about both the agency collecting my brokerage information directly and then having that information sent to a third party for evaluation. In light of the repeated security breaches I have experienced here, I am not sure why we would let this personal information be retained outside the building. Also, the potential for a brokerage firm to transmit inaccurate information to the collection firm seems to be an unnecessary and problematic risk. I would delete these provisions of the amendment and trust the employee to submit their own information to ensure it is correct and then have that information reviewed and retained by the ethics office so it never leaves the building. I feel strongly on both of these issues.
