April 19, 2023 Markets function best with absolute transparency on treating data as a way to be able to determine correct prices at market forces. Chairman Gensler continues to make progress on making more transparent and fair markets by addressing market maker, loopholes that lead to abuse and historic fines. As an individual investor, at times, it feels like Congress is at the behest of institutional money in opposition of retail investors. This dereliction of duty by members of Congress should not be allowed to make its way into the regulatory framework of the SEC.
