As a retail investor, I believe that the odds are increasingly against my favor as the years go by. Wall streets use of high frequency trading software programs, banks risking depositors funds on risky investments, and the use of payment for order flow is making the investment market impossible for the average investor to profit. What was once believed to be the American ideal has become a game of the top 20% taking high margins on a impossibly thin investments and if they fail the taxpayer bails them out.

Wall Street, politicians and anyone who believes in a free market should take the necessary steps to improve visibility in the market, outlaw naked short selling and finally not bail out investment groups and banks at the expense of the average person. All we ask as independent participants of the free market is that we get a fair chance at living the American ideal.
