April 19, 2023 There is no distinction between a crypto security or a beneficial security held by a broker. Simply calling them a different name does not differentiate their intended existence. Unregulated crypto exchanges and tokens allow rampant manipulation and fraud. I consider crypto to be a conduit for counterfeiting equity shares. It should be treated the same as any current regulated exchanges and protected as any other type of asset such as a security when it is being used as a security.
