I'm a retail trader and student at University who began slightly after March of last year.
Recently I heard Gary Gensler say that 90-95% orders are handled off exchange. If this is true, does organic price discovery still exist in the market. I'd like to believe the SEC has the intentions of retail traders in mind but it seems rules are written from the perspective of older people struggling to understand nee technology, like Blockchain.
Maybe some people at the SEC actually take these comments into consideration and not the lobbying money.
