March 30, 2023 I'v now been an active investor in the market the last 2 years and I've come to realize that there is a severe conflict of interest problem in said market. From actively shorting a company that market makers then sell options contracts on, to direct ties to regulatory commissions or banks, etc, to machine based trading with information that is either lagging behind for retail investors or simply not made public for retail investors. All of these things have corrupted the idea of a free and fair market. Any and all rule changes to reestablish the credibility of the markets and regulatory bodies would be welcome by retail investors, and should be thoroughly considered. Thank you for your time.
