By allowing special interests more freedom with navigating this system, it further erodes the power and freedoms of the average person. Large groups are able to spend money that isn't theirs and that will not have much consequence to them if they lose, but will damage other areas of the economy and the lives of individuals. Meanwhile, smaller investors and individuals are expected to put forward their own money, their own evidence of productivity and work, and to possibly lose it with great consequence. The playing field is already uneven. It's criminal to make it even moreso.
