March 15, 2023 Exceptions to rules created for the express purpose of avoiding conflicts of interest are exactly what causes conflicts of interest. To propose exempting those hedge funds and market makers that have a history of these violations is farcical given the SECs lack of resourcing or teeth to enforce and investigate them. You're letting the fox into the hen house and trying to say it's in the hen's best interest. I am vehemently opposed to the proposed revisions and am frankly just disappointed in my government's inability to protect individual home investors.
