Please remove any exemption statuses from the proposed rule. Market makers should NOT be exempt from rules eliminating conflicts of interest. Allowing markets makers and the like to get a pass on these conflicts of interest just allows more abuse, manipulation, and rigging of our markets. Make our markets fair. Hold institutions accountable. PLEASE PROTECT INVESTORS.
To reiterate... I support this rule AS LONG AS exemptions are taken out of it. No one should be exempt from conflicts of interest rules. Not individual investors, not politicians, not hedge funds, not banks, and especially not institutions like market makers. Most market makers also have hedge funds... and you're telling me there is no conflict of interest there and that they would never exploit that situation?... absolute insanity. That's just one example. HOLD EVERYONE ACCOUNTABLE. NO EXEMPTIONS.
