As an independent investor, I support the new audit rule proposed by the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB).
Auditors are essentially paid by the shareholders, therefore the shareholders are entitled to a full disclosure of the auditors' opinions. It is not acceptable to permit managers (also paid by shareholders) to conceal their aggressive accounting assumptions behind an almost meaningless auditor certification.
Please adopt the proposed rule as soon as possible.
