I am an investor. With that, I am concerned that these actions will negatively impact business, as a business owner myself. Moreover, these only apply to public companies which presents a problem in enacting fairness and it also constrains companies to fit a one-size package for something that is unique. Companies already disclose this information to investors in terms of climate change. Climate change and legislation thereof is important, but the SEC regulations seem to circumvent the normal standard of implementing policies and strips fairness out of the process itself.
