As a new retail investor, I have serious concerns that this increase in regulations will not only harm current businesses, but also hinder future companies from becoming publicly traded. This will hurt retail investors, such as myself, who lack the wealth and connections for private investments. I am gravely concerned that requiring a \"one-size-fits-all\" reporting requirement for a diverse group of industries will reduce efficiency and practicality in providing their products and services. There must be environmental regulations, but to pursue such regulations outside of congressional approval, while companies are already required to report crucial impacts to investors, is concerning.
