I am in favor of Bloomberg’s initiative to establish an alternative trade confirmation service. Bloomberg is a trusted and critical supplier to the financial services industry. They are well suited to offer an alternative to Omgeo’s suite of trade matching and confirmation services. Having an additional supplier in this space removes the risk of having a single point of failure and promotes competition. Promoting competition will provide better service, a more robust product offering and reduce cost.
