I fully support Bloomberg's request & application to provide trade matching for the Investment Management industry. Without a competitive landscape, there is an ongoing risk of industry inertia, lack of fee transparency, and or an appropriate platform for negotiation. Like any industry, necessity can dictate innovation and improvement and having more than provider in this space will ultimately avail the opportunity.
