Subject: Comment on File Number 4-637

Dear members of the Securities and Exchange Commission:

The only gain, in maintaining corporate secrecy from disclosing corporate spending into our political system, is fear and hatred. By acting to curtail secrecy in this manner you will be standing for a measure of securring our democracy. Otherwise, you will be adding to the corrossion of our country's foundation.

DO NOT ACT in the shameless manner of the supreme court. As a federal agency that has the power to require corporations to disclose the amount and to whom they spend on, i urge you to do this. Do not sink low as the corporations' supreme court

Both shareholders and the public must be fully informed as to how much the corporation spends on politics and which candidates are being promoted or attacked. Disclosures should be posted promptly on the SEC's web site.

Thank you for considering my comment.

Sincerely,

Beverly I Ohneck-Holly
