Subject: Comment on File Number 4-637

Dear members of the Securities and Exchange Commission:

I am writing to urge the SEC to issue a rule requiring publicly traded corporations to publicly disclose all their political spending.

Both shareholders and the public must be fully informed as to how much the corporation spends on politics and which candidates are being promoted or attacked. Disclosures should be posted promptly on the SEC's web site.

The worst part about anonymous big spender donors is that they are allowed to completely drown out the voices of the opposition. Not to mention the fact that it allows corporations that are largely owned by non-US citizens to have a voice in the politics of our country. The situation is becoming impossible for a truly democratic republic to survive. Please do not allow this corporate juggernaut to continue.

Thank you for considering my comment.

Sincerely,

V. Lee Horner
