Re: Comment on File Number 4-637

We all know the Supreme Court's dreadful Citizens United decision opened the floodgates to unlimited secret corporate contributions to campaigns.

As the federal agency with the job of protecting investors from corporate abuse, the SEC can require all publicly traded corporations to disclose their campaign donations. If a corporation knows it will have to reveal its attempts to influence an election, the company might be deterred from even trying.

The agency should issue a rule requiring publicly traded corporations to publicly disclose all their political spending.

It's often said that sunlight is the best disinfectant. Help "disinfect" Citizens United.

Thank you for the opportunity to bring these remarks to your attention.
