You can worship money or you can worship God, but you can't worship both. Now accepting large amounts of money for campaign contributions isn't inherently bad but when there are no safeguards like limits or disclosure, it tends to hide those who care more about money than they do about people. That's all. I will not judge anyone who says they worship money…but at least make them have the balls to say it. Don't be ashamed.
