Securities and Exchange Comm.
Dear Securities and Exchange Comm.,
I am writing to let you know that I am just as concerned about the amount and type of political spending of the companies I have an interest in as I am about their taxes and other expenses.
Whatever they spend on electing (or preventing the election of) people and what they spend on lobbying is money out of my pocket. I think I am owed an accounting.
Both shareholders and the public must be fully informed about corporate political spending and which candidates it is being used to lobby, promote or attack. Disclosures should be posted promptly on the SEC’s web site.
Thank you for considering my comment.
Sincerely,
Robert Robbins
