Does the SEC not share my shock and disbelief at what is happening to our precious democracy? It's never been perfect, but up until this Supreme Court--and now this SEC--got hold of it, it was the best thing going, the highest hope worldwide for a people's government. Why does anyone think rule by corporation and plutocracy is a good idea? And how on earth can my savings be allowed to fund the forces that are making this happen?
I know it's not easy to go against this armageddon that has been unleashed, but that's what you're being paid for, to guard our precious henhouse against the gathering wolves. Shareholders and the public must be fully informed as to how much corporations spend on politics and which candidates are being promoted or attacked. Disclosures should be posted promptly on the SEC’s web site.
