I would like the Securities and Exchange Commission to reinstate its rule requiring publicly traded corporations to disclose their political spending from the unified agenda.

After the Supreme Court’s Citizens United ruling, we have seen an avalanche of election spending. When investors and consumers spend money on or with public corporations, we are entitled to know what those  corporations are spending our money on.

Both shareholders and the public must be fully informed as to how much corporations spend on politics and which candidates are being promoted or attacked. Disclosures should be posted promptly on the SEC’s website.
