I find it outrageous and ironic that Rep Garrett would characterize full disclosure as "radical". I believe there should be full disclosure when ANY group tries to influence political outcomes by means of financial or other donations. Maybe there should be a modest limit, say above $100, but it should not stack the deck in favor of big money donors. We allow every person to vote only once per election. Donations should respect the same spirit, otherwise our democracy is a sham.
I basically agree with the ideas on the form letter I was sent, but thought you might want it in my words.
