The SEC is supposed to PROTECT the interests of shareholders!!

I can think of no legitimate reason for a company to hide political contributions from shareholders, or from the public for that matter. Shareholders have a right to keep tabs on all expenditures and be informed as to company policies and practices. How else can we judge the safety of our investments?

I can only think that if company management seeks to keep secrets from shareholders, they must be doing something they know the majority of shareholders would not approve of. Management MUST be held accountable to the shareholders.

The SEC must immediately see to requiring disclosure of all political contributions.
