The people have spoken - loudly!  Hundreds of thousands of people, nearly 700,000, commented to SEC that the current system of campaign financing is wrong, plain wrong.

The central issue is transparency.  We the people, as well as we the shareholders, have an absolute right to know who is financing public elections.

It seems absurd that we have voter ID laws to ensure fair elections but we don't have rules requiring disclosure of campaign expenditures so we know who is trying to engineer the outcome of elections.

Both shareholders and the public must be fully informed as to how much corporations spend on politics and which candidates are being promoted or attacked. Disclosures should be posted promptly on the SEC’s web site.

Thank you for considering my comment.
