Subject: File No. 4-637

Dear Securities and Exchange Comm.,

Dear SEC members,

The SEC should promptly approve rules requiring public disclosure of political spending by publicly-held companies, as essential to the SEC’s responsibility to ensure proper investment decisions.

There is no legal or constitutional basis for the idea that corporations have ever had or should have the rights of citizens. The use of invested funds for political purposes is an act of fraud against investors and an act of war against the people and government of the nation.

Thank you for considering my comment.

Sincerely,

John Barth jr.
