Dear members of the Securities and Exchange Commission:
I am writing to urge the SEC to issue a rule requiring publicly traded corporations to publicly disclose all their political spending.
Both shareholders and the public must be fully informed as to how much the corporation spends on politics and which candidates are being promoted or attacked. Disclosures should be posted promptly on the SEC's web site. I mean, good God - are we going to allow corporations not only to pretend they are human beings with the same (which means a lot more because they have so much money) rights than real humans, but we're also going to allow them to hide their manipulations from us??? What happened to openness and democracy? I guess we've just decided to give up the ghost and let the merchants of death have their way?
Thank you for considering my comment.
