Dear Members of the Securities and Exchange Commission:

It should be NO SECRET to anyone with any personal integrity, or who cares about the democratic process itself, that the truly corrupting and damaging consequences of intentionally-hidden, covert, egregiously-abusive, and carte blanche, contemptuous political campaign spending by special interests and corporations have truly damaged not only the economy and future for millions of Americans, but they've seriously damaged this country's form of 'democratic' government itself. These criminal practices and behaviors should long ago have been outlawed... PERIOD! The ruinous aftermath of this recent unbridled period of corporate and big-banking criminal conduct has directly produced the longest, most-immoral, and deepest RECESSION in this country's history... in fact the worst economic slump (downturn) since the Great Depression itself! The 'Citizens United' abomination has only magnified and greatly amplified the damaging consequences of this calamitous and appalling failure of financial industry moral and ethical behavior and values. The self-serving contempt and disregard for honesty and legal responsibility in Washington and Big-Money circles has largely been responsible for ruining the faith and hopes that Americans have had heretofore in their government's truthfulness, integrity, and moral effectiveness!

I strongly support the SEC issuing a rule in the near future that requires publicly traded corporations to publicly disclose all their spending on political activities.

Both shareholders and the public deserve to know how much a given corporation spends on politics (directly and intermediaries), and which candidates are being promoted or attacked.

Please do your duty!

Sincerely,

Steve Marvin
