Esteemed members of the Securities and Exchange Commission:
I diligently, strenuously urge you to issue a rule requiring publicly traded corporations to publicly disclose all their political spending. This is not an issue of "Free Speech" as they would have you believe: rather, this is indicative of corruption and graft.
***Both shareholders and the public must be fully informed as to how much the corporation spends on politics and which candidates are being promoted or attacked. Disclosures should be posted promptly on the SEC's web site.***
Thank you for considering this opinion, it is shared in great earnest. Please act accordingly and with responsibility. Remember, YOU will be the ultimate recipient of policy changes that benefit only the super-rich, and those changes are designed to keep you in your proper place: earning money for them by the sweat of your brow.
Lobbyists have hijacked Congress to protect guns. If you fail us now, the goofy gun folk might be right after all and we may need to bring out the guillotine again!
