I just learned that the SEC is considering a rule that will require public corporations to disclose all of their political spending. I think the American People will LOVE to know this info, and their opinions and judgements about their political candidates - whose campaigns accept this money - will be enlightened.
Secret donations are a black mark on our democracy. They have ALWAYS been around, they have ALWAYS influenced candidates and campaigns, they are inherently unfair.
Plus, using secret donations for writing creative lies and innuendos, high quality ads and media, is blatant propaganda. When we know the source of those attacks, we will know who the candidate supports.
Please, do whatever you can to REQUIRE corporations to reveal how they spend their money on politics - and for some of those corporation, how they are spending their shareholders', their investors' and other sources of their money.
Thank you very much.
