I am writing to urge the Securities and Exchange Commission to issue a rule requiring publicly traded corporations to publicly disclose all their political spending – and to do so this year.
Since the legislators whom we nominally elect are largely acting on behalf of large corporations, it's not unreasonable for citizens to know how publicly traded corporations are affecting our government.
