Dear Securities and Exchange Comm.,
I was a newspaper reporter for 25 years, and I have never seen a piece of legislation more damaging to the peoples' right to know than Citizens United.
This court decision is a back-door around the First Amendment. It gives donors, especially those who give the largest gifts, a way to hide their influence on elected officials.
It is contrary to the very basis of the rights given to America's citizens.
